Irvin S. Dworkin, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2009. Irvin was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in chemistry and served as a captain with the Army's Field Artillery during World War II. Preceded in death by sisters, Lena Gaffin, Clara Goldslager and Ruth Dorfman. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine; son, Kal (Wanda) Dworkin; grandchildren, Chad (Tiffany) Dworkin, Amy Dworkin (fiance Dr. Jason Dahlman); and many nieces, cousins and extended family. Graveside services were on Thursday, Dec. 24 at New Agudas Achim Cemetery, 2565 Performance Pkwy, with Rabbi Sharon Mars officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Wexner Heritage House, 1151 College Ave., Columbus, OH 43209.
